The Frail Heart of God

Isn't it amazing? We've always known God to be someone so STRONG so MIGHTY so POWERFUL. Yet to say that God has a delicate side, how many believe? I must say though, that God's heart is indeed both STRONG and Frail at the same time.

God's heart is strong (without a doubt) because for Him to love US, people who are so unlovable, He has a very strong heart to continually pour out His love on us.

But God's heart is also frail. It hurts Him a lot from the simplest things that we do. Let me share a something that God spoke to me today:

Stubbornness and self-will will always stab Jesus Christ. It may hurt no one else, but it wounds His Spirit. Whenever we are obstinate and self-willed and set on our own ambitions, we are hurting Jesus. We show our ignorance of Him in the very way WE DECIDE to serve Him. We may serve Jesus in a spirit that is not His, and hurt Him by our defense of Him. Our words sound right, but the spirit is that of an enemy.

It really PAINS the heart of God to see us living by our own ideals, beliefs and justice when the path that we take is but a path of thorns that hurt us more and more (as we walk deeper into the thorns) but all we can see are just the beautiful roses. It really saddens God..

Psalm 103:8-13
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as  the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;

When we decide to turn back to God, God's heart beats really fast - suddenly. What betrayals? What unfaithfulness? What hurts? What pains? What tears? God cannot remember these hurts inflicted upon Him. Because all that fills His mind are those thorn wounds found all over your body and especially your legs, and God just wants to bandage and care for them...

Me: God, what about Your wound?
God: You're still bleeding.
Me: What about the heartaches?
God: Be careful of your legs. :)
