ACTScalibre Camp 2008!

These are the long awaited ACTS Calibre Photos! Hahaha. Just a massive amount of photos with some comments. :)

Above are photos of how the room basically looks like.

Everyone worked really hard to get this banner/flag done up. :) Don't ask why is the cat our mascot. We used it coz it's cute. Hahaha. If you wanna question the cat, go question Argentina's pig first. =P

After the flag was done it was some relaxing! Woot! :)

After relaxing for a while, we had to start planning and rehearsing our part for the Camp Opening Ceremony for the America Continent which as you can see is led by our very own Peruvian, Jee Kai!!! ^^

After the rehearsal, it was pure relaxation for us until the camp opening ceremony. :)

Above is a violent photo of Asia's performance skit. And I thought they said no skit was allowed... Hmmm... O well, America is more creative still. Wahahaha. =)

See the lady waving? She's Xin Ying, our facilitator for the Treasure Hunt! Cool eh?

First clue given. :)

This is the map of NTU which I took. Didn't really come in handy coz by the time I took it, we were already running back to our final destination. Amazingly we just did to our best and we were like the second team to finish! Like huh? We were like where's everyone?

These are our 2 lovely games facilitators for the Board Games finals. They briefed us on the game that we're playing to prep us first. Save time.

After the games, it was supper for Huimin, Jacqueline, Shimin, Si Hui & myself! :)

DAY 2!!!
As you can see, day 2 started with morning excercises. Zzzz...

See what happens when guys wake up too early? Never wake a guy up too early. Hahaha.

Breakfast rocks man! I think. =P

Time for pool to kill some time and perk up one's morning. Wahahahaha.

Winner was Jet. Took them a while to finish the game. Was almost the last OG to leave bcoz of their game. LOL! But I guess it was still quite hilarious watching them play. Hahaha.

Headed down for our games! It was ultimate Frisbee! :)

Kuang Ting & myself!
Peru frisbee team is ready to take on the challenge! Woot!

Observe Jee Kai. Wahahaha.

Go Team Peru! Lost the first match, drew the second but won the third! Wahaha. Well, what can we say? We're a team that continuously seeks growth and improvement. But most importantly to ENJOY!!! ^^

As you can see from above, everyone played hard (except me of course) thus were really worn out.

Jocelyn & myself! Can't believe you're gonna be my senior soon. Hahaha.

This is a shot from the first Team Building Game where there were 3 different groups of people. The runners who see the picture and try and express themselves without use of vocals, the see-ers who see and try and understand and pass on the message and lastly the do-ers who listen intentively to the see-ers instructions on what to get and what to do to piece the picture together. Oh and welcoming Hui Ying!!! She arrived just in time for the first event. See that she is in the picture too! :)

The second Team Building Event is where guys and gals are held together by strings (but separated by gender of course) and had to travel around in that manner looking for puzzles. Apparently the gals were not too happy when I took this shot. Coz I didn't look like I was helping them search. But honestly I did try. Just couldn't find any leh..

This is one of the most amusing Team Building Event. We built the American "Leaning Tent of America". =P It stands and can hold one person inside anyway. So it's gd k? Wahaha.

Jet tried to go into the tent. Apparently the tent is too small for our dear BFG. Wahahaha.

This is a photo that was taken on the second night. Shimin had to leave liaoz. So we took a full Peruvian photo! Technically speaking, this is the only full Peruvian photo. Oh wait. It isn't. Where's Rachel??? Zzzz...

Thanks Shimin for everything. :) You're really someone who is very encouraging from the start to the end of the ACTS Calibre events. :)

After the Board Games Finals, we were all tired already. Managed to clinch a second though. Quite thankful for it. :) Biggest joke of the night was this Taboo game where Jet & Jee Kai partnered:

Answer is "DVD"
Jet: It's something that you use to store information.
Jee Kai: ...
Jet: It's 4.7GB and circular and shiny.
Jee Kai: CD? I dunno.
Jet: It's 4.7GB leh! 4.7GB!
Jee Kai: Hard disk?
Jet: Circular and shiny! Ok ok nevermind. What's your favourite movie?
Jee Kai: ...
Jet: Just say anything. Anything will do. No need think so long.
Jee Kai: ...
Jet: Ok let's say that movie was on the big screen then it's brought to the small screen in your home. What do you use to play it?
Jee Kai: Player?
Jet: No no. The thing you use to store the movie.
Jee Kai: VCD? DVD?
Jet: YES!!!

Ever wondered why the farny and amusing things always happen between the 2 of them? LOL!

Day 3!!!
Thank goodness no more morning exercise. But it didn't matter. We still had to play the variety games in the morning. Zzzz...

At the first game known as one leg dodging. It's really pretty tough.

Apparently someone here isn't very nice. See. Finally I can show you the true colours of Lim Hui Ying. Wahahaha. =P

The next game was erm... combination of handball and soccer. I forgot what was the name for it liao.

Didn't do so well for this game either. We lost this game too. But it's ok. We enjoyed the playing and watching. Jee Kai was really pro. He blocked a lot of balls. Really. But too bad he is only one man so we still lost.

Introducing the fierce snorlax side of our Peru BFG. LOL!

And here is our very own Peru chipmunk. Hahaha. Stay tuned for Huimin and the chipmunks next time. =P

France ole! That was a really amusing look by Edmund. LOL!

Han & myself!

The third and final game is kinda a series of obstacle courses. Erm... forgot the name of the game too liao. LOL!

Go Team Peru!

Yi Chen is super power la. First to chiong and he blew almost all the flour away liaoz.

See that Michelle doesn't have much flour on her and it is mainly thanks to Yi Chen. Hahaha.

Goes the same for Si Hui though she does have more flour on her face than Michelle does.

Next was the Inter-continental games! Woot! America is too power liao. In the end we were champions for both the basketball and captain's ball games. LOL!

This is a photo of the preps for the water bomb games. Well, obviously I don't have photos of when they started throwing. Who would risk their cameras?

I really love this photo. It's I think my first successful emo photo. LOL! Just have to make it look sepia can liao. LOL!

This looks very much like 4 very close friends determined to achieve something together. LOL!

This on the contrary looks like we're spectating at Palawan. LOL!

A series of cool guys photos! ^^

This is the final photo taken in the bunks before we moved out. :)

The girls had brown shorts on (coincidentally). Hence they tried to take a jump shot together. LOL!

I met Mr Bowen in no.4 that night. LOL! Had to take photo with him. Looks so... cool! =P Hahaha.

Xuan An & myself!

This is the prize received by America for the Inter-continental games! Woot!

Peru & Canada guys! Go Pernada!

Go Peru! Peru you rocks mans! LOL! I really cannot believe it but apparently Peru got 3rd! Like huh? Again. This is like one of those "Huh you mean we won?" kind of things by Peru. I mean we know that we were doing things to our best but... We weren't really trying that hard to win. So... well. I guess it's a bonus then! ^^

Pernatina! A.k.a. America! LOL! Go figure. Hahaha. =P

Hope to see everyone of you soon! Especially Peruvians! We got our celebration to meet up for!
