Worship

Worship. If you ask around the church what is worship, I'm thinking more often than not the answer you may get is that it's either a slow song or love song to/for God and if you're lucky, someone might just sing a really nice song for you. However, that is not all that worship is.

According to "My Utmost for His Highest":

"There are not three levels of spiritual life - worship, waiting and work. Yet some of us seem to jump like spiritual frogs from worship to waiting, and from waiting to work. God's idea is that the three should go together as one."

True worship is in fact about how you live your entire life, comprising of every single area of your life and the thoughts of every single room within your heart. Let's look at what the bible says.

Romans 12:1

"Therefore, I urge, you brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship."

To give our lives fully to God is definitely no easy thing. Even today I still struggle GREATLY to obey God and His Word. However, it's always important to never give up. No matter how much we keep climbing off the altar, let's just climb back up again and try and stay there longer yea?

P.S. Dear God, if you must, discipline me - somehow.
