The Young Saplings

It really is a rather intriguing day today, how God actually spoke things that simply coincide so naturally. Was reading up on Matthew 13 and I seriously never knew that Matthew 13 was this hard to read and understand. Seriously... Let me show you.

Matthew 13:24-30
24Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27"The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
28" 'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
29" 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' "

Truthfully speaking, I was just full of question marks when I read this. Firstly, I'm not a farmer. So I wouldn't know very well the detailed effects to all this weeding or not to weed things. And secondly and more importantly, WHAT'S THE RELEVANCE O GOD!?!?!?!?!?

After spending about half a day pondering over this, God gave me a revelation! ^^ Was really thrilled by it. It was like EUREKA! Seemingly similar to Ps Jeff's "enlightenment" look. LOL!

These weeds (bad things) in our lives, cannot be pulled out and taken out immediately. Because in doing so, it might just cause us more harm then good. In pulling out the weeds, the field (our hearts) become bare, a barren ground that is susceptible to dry cracked lands on sunny days while soil erosion on rainy nights. Even if seeds and sapplings (W.O.G.) have been planted into the field, weeding may root the sapplings. Therefore it is important for the sappling to first take root and have a strong firm grip in the ground before the weeding begins.

Similarly, only as we continue to grow in God and allow the Word of God to take root in our hearts, God cannot weed us and make us a more fertile and effective land for growth. God will not be able to grow us. Hence it is important for His Word to take deep roots into our hearts before God can weed us and pull out even the strongest stronghold of sin in our lives.

This was followed by the New Believers' Party today where looking at every new believer, it reminded me that we were all once young sapplings of God. God planted us where we were and many obstacles and challenges came but God didn't remove these circumstances. Why? Because our roots are not deeply grown into Him and His Word as yet. To remove these circumstances (weeds) would only root us up... Thus causing us more harm...

Our dear hosts and planners for this New Believers' Party are Eileen and Tracy (a.k.a. E.T.). I'm not trying to be lame. That's how they introduced themselves. Hahaha.
